This is usually the case whenever Vrbo is under maintenance or is experiencing technical difficulties. Since Vrbo was partially unavailable during this time, this may have affected our operations until Vrbo was back to normal.

Identified - Airbnb and Vrbo are still down. Akamai, who is a DNS provider is reporting an incident on their Edge DNS service. https://edgedns.status.akamai.com/incidents/n5zl6dythvfv

Update - Airbnb currently is entirely down. We have suspended all operations in relation with Airbnb until Airbnb.com is back up again. No guest or host can communicate on their platform or through their API.

Our own investigation seems to show that all DNS records have been removed on www.airbnb.com, meaning airbnb.com no longer resolves to a website. Our best wishes to the Airbnb team to recovery this situation.

Investigating - We are observing a higher than usual rate of VRBO accounts being disconnected from Smartbnb. At this time we cannot provide further insights into the reasons being this disconnection, as this is likely related with VRBO's internal systems.

All users who are receiving an email notifying them that a VRBO/Homeaway account is being disconnected should be reconnecting their account at the first opportunity on https://my.smartbnb.io/accounts

Resolved - We received information from Booking.com Connectivity Team that on the 20th of July, there was an incident affecting partner-to-guest messaging.

As a result, the messages we sent at that time to the guest weren't forwarded by Booking.com as expected, and the guests didn't receive them.

The incident has been resolved on the 21st of July.
